Mudra - iOS App
Mudra is a native iOS app designed to bring the ancient practice of hand mudras into a calm, modern mobile experience. Rooted in yogic and meditative traditions, mudras are symbolic hand gestures believed to channel energy, sharpen focus, and promote wellbeing.
The interface was designed with the same intentionality the practice demands — minimal, focused, and distraction-free. Each mudra is presented with clear visual guidance, making it easy to browse, learn, and follow along. The visual language draws from the meditative quality of the subject matter: generous whitespace, a restrained color palette, and typography that doesn't compete with the content
A curated collection of traditional mudras, organized for effortless discovery. Each gesture includes its name, origin, instructions for proper hand positioning, and the associated benefits. The browsing experience was designed to encourage exploration — users can scan quickly or dive deep into individual mudras depending on their interest and available time.
The visual system was built around restraint and calm. A muted, earthy color palette reflects the meditative nature of the practice, while a clear typographic hierarchy ensures readability across all screen sizes. Every design decision — from spacing to iconography — was made to support a sense of stillness and focus within the app.
The detail view balances depth with clarity. Each mudra screen surfaces the most important information first — the gesture itself, followed by step-by-step instructions and contextual details about its significance. The hierarchy was carefully considered so users can practice at a glance or read further without the interface getting in the way.
App allows for editing the Mudra detection , framework . In case the App is not recognizing the hand shapes and fingers , users can edit the bone structure to correct the detection to their specific hand size.
